Der Klang der Berge ist eine Frage der eigenen Wahrnehmung. Seit über 20 Jahren hören wir den Bergen zu und übersetzen mit unseren Instrumenten die alpine Landschaft in unsere Musik. Entstanden ist b a n n , unser persönliches Echo der Berge.

The music of the trio creates soundscapes of open wideness and beauty … the alphorn melodies fly over a shimmery chord flow of the hammered dulcimer, the polyphonic play of the balaphones spin a rhythmical cocoon … the carefully chosen cow bells ring through space, while the bass hammered dulcimer form a rocky ground and the open trombone mulitphonics blow away …

The sound of the mountains is a question of one’s own perception. We’ve been listening to the mountains for over twenty years, and use our instruments to translate the Alpine landscape into our music. This is how b a n n was created. It is our personal echo of the mountains.
