| Started to play percussions at the age of 8. Due to his fathers work in West Africa, he got fascinated to African drumming. | |
| 1984 he turned professional drummer and toured in Europe, Asia, South America and Africa. | |
| He played at Jazz festivals in Montreux, Berlin, Zurich, Accra and many more. | |
| 1991-98 he spent seven years in Ghana to study and work with Ghanean musicians. | |
| Today he lives with his family in a mountain village southeast of Zurich teaching and playing in different groups between jazz, ethnic, experimental and rock. | |
